Learn More About The Hagersville Farmers Market

Learning about The Hagersville Farmers Market begins with discovering our history! The Hagersville Farmers Market began on September 21st, 1892. It took place in, what is today known as, our town square. As a result, the entire two acres of property was filled with farmers, community members, and fresh produce. At the market, in 1892; pork chops, eggs, potatoes, maple syrup, live chickens and much more were available and bid on by townspeople each Wednesday.

The Hagersville Farmers’ Market is a historic event that was, and continues to be, very important and special to the community. Consequently, we hope to preserve the market, its history, and its benefits for years to come with the help of our loyal and supportive community members. Take the opportunity to get involved by visiting our market on Wednesdays! To clarify,  the market begins in May and ends in early December, from 7am to 12pm. The Hagersville Farmers’ Market will be ready to offer fresh produce, flowers, and much more!
